Ruby Red
Ruby Red is a great film, based on the book Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. It is about Gwendolyn Shepherd, a girl, who finds out that she and not her mean cousin Charlotte, can travel back in time. She isn't prepared for this situation and she doesn't knoe what to do. Gwendolyn comes to the secret lodge where her cousin was trained with the male time traveller Gideon. Meanwhile Gwendolyn discovers that she can see ghosts and gets more and more attracted by Gideo. At first he rejects her, but can't deny long that he also falls in love with her. But life comes into their way. In this film everything is spot on. There are funny plots, really sad scenes and lovely romantic parts. I loved the film although I have to say, it looses some of the deep understanding that you have to Gwen in the book. The scenes and costumes are really made beautifully and you think they have shooted some parts in the past. Congrats! But you can't say it's as good as the book, I would prefer it any day. So if you don't know what to watch with your friends it's a good film with great actors and a hot protagonist.
